01.Do I need to have done shiatsu before to book a session?

No prior experience needed. The first session starts with a short conversation about what you are noticing in your body and what brought you in. From there we adjust the pressure and pace. People who have never had bodywork often find it easier than they expected.

02.What should I wear to a session?

Loose trousers and a long-sleeved top work well. Shiatsu is done through clothing on a floor futon, so you do not undress. Avoid stiff denim or anything with a thick waistband. If you are coming straight from work and need to change, tell us when you book.

03.How do I pay, and is a deposit required?

Payment is by cash or bank transfer, as agreed when you book, and the fee is confirmed in writing before the session. No deposit is required for a first booking. For regular visitors who reschedule frequently, we may ask for a small advance payment to hold the slot, but this is discussed individually.

04.Can I cancel or reschedule if something comes up?

Please let us know at least 48 hours before your session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged at half the session fee. We understand that things happen, and we try to be reasonable. Contact us by phone or email.

05.How do I find the studio, and is there parking?

The studio has no dedicated parking. We send directions, the nearest station and the entrance details with your booking confirmation, so please check them before you travel. Visits are by appointment only.

06.Is this a medical treatment?

No. Sessions are relaxation-oriented bodywork and guided practices. We do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and nothing here replaces advice from a doctor. If you are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or an operation, or are under medical care, please talk to your doctor first and tell us when you book.
